Bring us your clean used bicycle and we will trade you for that brand new bicycle that you have been wanting.

Here is how it works in 3 easy steps:
  1. Bring us your clean quality used bike.
  2. We will sell your bike in our store or online.
  3. We will issue a store credit for the selling price of the bike, minus selling costs.
We will sell your bike for you and in most cases we will get a higher selling price than an individual selling on their own. Because we are a brick and mortar bike shop, prospective buyers are more comfortable buying from us, which usually results in a higher final selling price. So even after we deduct the costs of listing and selling your bike, your net return is very good and quick.
 
We Handle The Entire Transaction Including:
  • Detailed cleaning and inspection of your bike
  • Remove all personal items such as computers, bottle cages and pedals.
  • Make recommendations for a higher selling price such as new bar tape etc
  • Digital photographs for online marketing
  • Write a detailed description by people that know bicycles
  • List your bicycle in multiple online markets for a quick sale
  • Answer emails and phone calls about your bike
  • Secure payment processing through our online banking system
  • Disassembly and packing of your bike
  • Shipping your bike
  • Emailing tracking information to the buyer
  • Confirming delivery at final destination


You can just relax and let us do all the work.  A store credit for the final selling price of the bike will be issued in your name and you can pick out your new bike. 10% is deducted for listing/selling fees such as ebay and paypal, and another 10% is deducted for Sage Cycles full service transaction handling. The balance is applied to your account  as a store credit. Your store credit can be used to buy a new bike as soon as the transaction is complete. Not all bikes are good candidates for a trade in, but most bikes that originally retailed for $1500.00 or more can be traded.
